In or Out: Brooke Shields

Brooke Shields attends IFP's 19th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards at Cipriani, Wall Street in New York City wearing a Malandrino dress.

We had to have a little T Lo conference on this one.

Because we kept going back and forth on the fit. It's a lot looser on her than it is on the model but ultimately we came to the conclusion that not every dress needs to be form-fitting and besides, it's doing her figure a lot of favors as it is. We love the graphic quality of this dress. It gives it a bold, youthful vibe without looking like she's trying to dress too young. It's exactly the right length for her and she looks sexy and curvy. Our only complaint is with the way too matchy-match shoes but to be honest, we're not sure what color shoes we'd have recommended. Black would have been a safe choice, but no more exciting than what she's wearing. IN.

Brooke Shields, Cougar (Slightly NSFW)

We bet THAT title got your attention!

So our Miss Brooke did a shoot for the new issue of Australian magazine Kurv, and we're kinda scratching our head over the whole thing. Take a look:







We're all for someone doing a little image management and trying to break out of their own mold, and we applaud her for her daring, but does anyone really think this is serving her well? She's Photoshopped to death in some of these shots and she doesn't look particularly comfortable in any of them. We WANT to like these, really we do. We'd love nothing more to exclaim, "You fabulous bitch! Look at you, sticking your face in some boy's crotch and putting your hand on naked boy ass!" But it's just not working for us. It all looks way too posed and art-directed. If she gave some glimmer that she was enjoying herself it might've worked.
