T LOunge

The eyes have it.

Long Bar at the Sanderson Hotel in London, courtesy of Planet Fabulon

Ladies, slap on some bronzer because T Lounge this week is fabulous but that lighting is decidedly unflattering. If you want meaningless sex with a stranger tonight (and who doesn't?), then you're going to have to haul out the makeup kit so you don't wind up looking like Lily Munster.

So, congrats to TIFFANY, who won last week's T Lounge prize of a Laura Bennett original. Tiffany was one of over 40 people to get all six guesses correct. As an aside, we just want to point out that never in the history of the T Lounge contest have so many men entered to win a dress. The gays love Laura Bennett!

Now, this week is the last week for prizes and we saved what we think will be the best for last. The holidays are almost upon us and the winner of this gift will either have something stylish to wear or stylish to give away.

PR alum Joe Faris, who is both a doll and the lead designer for Schott NYC, has graciously offered up a leather jacket from Schott. Even better, the winner can choose to receive either the men's or women's version AND the sizes range from Small to 3x Large for the men's and x-Small to 3x Large for the women's. The men's jacket retails for $450 and the women's for $360.

We will be so jealous of whoever wins this!

Now, STOP!

THE RULES HAVE CHANGED THIS WEEK, POODLES!

Because there are only 6 designers left, you only get ONE CHANCE to pick your top and bottom three instead of the usual three chances. Got that? ONE ENTRY PER PERSON.

1) Pick the top 3 and bottom 3 designers of Episode 11.
2) ONLY 1 ENTRY FOR THIS CONTEST.
3) If more than one person picks correctly, we'll pull the winning name out of a bag.

4) You must post your email address so we can contact you if you won.

5) No entries will be accepted once the show starts.

Here's the preview to help you guess:

Fashion in Detroit: Joe & Kevin

It's Straight Boy Monday!

We've met a lot of Project Runway alums and out of all of them, two of the absolute nicest guys are Joe Faris and Kevin Christiana. Seriously, no smoke-blowing. They are both utterly sweet, friendly, laid back guys with a sense of humor. It makes us wish we could have flown out to attend the Fashion in Detroit event.

"Fashion In Detroit is a bi-annual two-day fashion event created by Project Runway’s Joe Faris to put a fashion spotlight on Detroit and create a venue that fills the needs of many locally based designers and the Detroit fashion community."

Many designers presented their collections including Joe, Kevin, Peter Soronen, and Betsey Johnson. Let's check out what our graduates offered. We're not crazy about the slutty rock chick dresses, but Joe, we'll take 2 of those Schott jackets, please. Kevin showed a mini-collection of cute feminine-with-an-edge looks. Nice going, straight boys.

Kid Rock in Joe Faris

So who dropped us a line the other day? Why, it was S5 Project Runway designer Joe Faris, who's been keeping himself quite busy.

"Hi Tom and Lorenzo,

Just wanted to send you some pix of the leather shirt I made for Kid Rock, his peeps called me a few days before the concert in Detroit at Comerica Park and asked if I could put something together and when I gave it to them they told me that if he likes it he will wear it. He came out first song wearing the shirt in front of 40,000 people, Amazing!

Hope all is well. I can't wait for all your new blogs about PR6.

Joe"

We have to say, while it's not something we could get away with wearing, it is a pretty cool looking shirt. Not to mention perfectly executed.

Joe is also organizing the event Fashion in Detroit on October 1st and 2nd, 2009.

Rock on, Joe!
