PR: Auf-Wiedersehen!

Might as well do this one first since the Bitter Kittens obviously want to talk about it.

Jesse & Jonathan

Boys in the middle.

Model: Alexis Broker

This was a surprisingly good entry from Jesse.

We say that because frankly, we haven't liked anything he's sent down that runway before this. Sure, it just skirts up to the border of tacky, but we're talking Heidi here. Lots of thigh and lots of boob are to be expected. We really like the weave and the way he did the cups.

The back is kind of a mess, though.

And while he's to be commended for using a rich color, the fabric reads a little downscale.

Model: Alison Gingerich

Jonathan was so proud of his little romper but we had a hard time signing onto it. Mainly because, romper, y'know?.

But it drapes nicely and it's executed pretty flawlessly, so he's got that.

And loath as we are to admit it, fashion editors do love rompers even if all right-thinking people do not.

Bottom line is it's trendy and it had a lot of nice touches. The only thing working against it is the lack of color. Had this been rendered in eye-catching hues, we bet Joanna Coles would have been all over it.

But look how cute he is when he's all proud. He's so Pixar.

Boo Boo Kitty & Mila

Darlings, expect a lot of WTFs going forward.

Model: Kasey Ashcroft

WTF?

Help us out here, minions. Does ANYTHING about this entry make sense to you?

Like previous entries from Boo Boo, the dress starts off nice on the top. We like the frippery around the neck and we like the colors. We like the way the bodice is constructed and she did some nice work on the seaming.

But WTF is going on with that hem?

And WHY TF does the back of the dress look so much worse than the front? Did she think the model wasn't going to walk down the runway and turn around?

And finally, WTF was she even thinking with this concept? It's way too washed out, color-wise, for a cover and because of the shiny fabrics it looks, as the judges pointed out, a little too bridal.

We enjoy her for the entertainment value and she seems like a sweet girl, but she's been floundering every single week. We hate to say it, but it's time for Boo Boo Kitty to go.

"One thing that it's a little disturbing to me and disheartening to me is that after coming in second nobody was really happy for me. Nobody said congratulations. I don't know what's that about."

We're not even going to abbreviate this time: WHAT THE FUCK?

WHAT THE FUCKETY-FUCK-FUCK?!?

That is the STUPIDEST fucking complaint we have ever heard from anyone on a reality competition EVER. We realize that these people are tired and stressed out and the production people are firing questions at them in order to get a juicy soundbite, but who the hell says something like this? Who expects hugs for making second place FROM THE VERY PEOPLE SHE'S COMPETING AGAINST? THIS ISN'T THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS, LADY.

wE KNEW --sorry -- We knew when she had that second-episode meltdown over her model picking another designer that she was going to be a little nutty, but that just takes the cake. Get over yourself, honey.

Model: Brandise Danesewich

And you won't be getting any hugs or high-fives over this shitty dress, either.

Once again, we're completely befuddled as to the color choices here. When the editor in chief of a fashion magazine tells you what she wants from you in order to get your dress on the cover, PAY ATTENTION. Was Mila still pouting over the lack of HUGZ that she didn't hear the part about color?

And if you're going to be doing color-blocking (we're getting really bored with the color blocking, by the way) it better be damn perfect, especially when it's all so centrally located. Some of those seams look mighty poor to our eyes.

Plus, as Nina pointed out, the pattern basically serves as a roadmap to her funbox. "Here it is, boys! Or at least, here's the general vicinity!"

IF she had chosen more vibrant colors and IF she had executed it perfectly (and IF she hadn't pissed us off with her whining) we might have liked this dress, but to be honest, we kind of hate it.

She managed to put together a look that is both bland AND weird at the same time.

Project Runway Season 7 Final Collections: Amy, Ben, Jesse

Remember, darlings. We're not giving anything away here. At least half of these collections are decoys. Each designer showed 10 looks.

Emilio, Jesse, Maya

Poodles, it's a veritable PARADE of frumpy, twisty, unflattering fashion!

"Prior to this challenge, it was all about me, me, me, me, me. But after meeting the ladies, you realize that there are greater things in this world than just winning a challenge."

Oh, PUH-LEEZE, bitch. If we were in charge of this show, we'd make sure to replay that soundbite every time Emilio trash-talks his competitors or acts like he shits ice cream. They had several opportunities to do so in this very episode as Emilio, post-Afterschool Special moment, did some trash-talking about the other garments.

When really, he should have been paying a lot more attention to his own.

We checked. As far as we know, she wasn't pregnant.

Now, she looks to have a perfectly fine body. We're not saying she's fat or there's anything wrong with how she looks physically. But she clearly does not have the body to wear a dress like this. Again, no crime in that, but the whole point to these "real women" challenges is to get the designers to design something for a body that doesn't have the measurements of a wire hanger.

Additionally, for some reason his technical skills went off the rails this week.

Inexplicably sloppy.

His previous two dresses demonstrated a high level of technical proficiency so what exactly went wrong here, with a design that looks to us to be a hell of a lot simpler than his previous work?

Honestly, we sometimes think we're watching Bizarro Project Runway when we hear the judges talk about Jesse's work.

Nina praised this. Stop and reflect on that for a moment.

NINA. PRAISED. THIS.

Seriously, what was she thinking? She'd have raked another designer over the coals for this in previous seasons. We hope she's not toning herself down to avoid the "bitch" label. Nina! Embrace the bitch label! In this world, it means you're smart and have high standards!

So, okay. There's the incredibly frumptastic white jacket with the "Teacher of the Year" craft project corsage...

And then there's this. Or rather, these.

In fact, this neckline was what got Nina to wax rhapsodically. Although she was forced to admit that it wasn't the right neckline for this poor girl. Well Nina, we don't want to tell you how to do one of your jobs, but ISN'T THAT THE WHOLE POINT? To design for THESE girls?

Come ON. She looks like slutty Ethel Mertz!

And when we say "these girls," we mean the ladies, not the tits. Granted, designing for her tits would have been a step in the right direction, but still. We wanted to clear that up.

It was mostly inoffensive from the back. Still frumpy and definitely not flattering, but okay.

We like Maya. We think she's cool and intense and she's got an interesting aesthetic...

But this was another instance where the judges overpraised the piece. She looks like she's standing in front of a really large fan.

And while we realize that there is gold in the Campbell's logo, that gold and red together in one dress is a bit much from a color perspective. Hints of gold would work; a gigantic window treatment from Graceland hanging off her hip doesn't. Also, the way it curls around her boob doesn't look very flattering to us.

Again, not too bad from the back. Maybe they should have just had all the models walk backwards down the runway.

Auf-Wiedersehen!

Pinglessness=sad.
Pick sides, people!

On the right we have Thurston, who came into this challenge with a huge chip on his shoulders.

And on the left we have Ping, who came into this challenge with her head barely attached to her shoulders.

Believe it or not, we side with Jesse on this one. We adore Ping as a contestant, but imagine how Jesse must have felt when he realized he had to work with her, especially after that monstrosity she sent down the runway last week. Admit it, you'd be scared too.

Granted, he could have been more diplomatic about it and there were a couple times where he stepped over the douche line, but for the most part, he was just trying to save his own ass by getting her to focus on the issues with her garment. Issues which, by the way, he was completely 100% correct about.

And while she seems like a sweetheart, she's also annoyingly scatter-brained. What can you say about a person who constantly forgets to put shoes on? How do you forget to put shoes on?

Not to mention, she just shut down and pulled the "I'm the team leader!" card every time Jesse voiced an opinion. No, kittens. Ping was clearly the one in the wrong here. If she'd been smarter, she would have tried to make this a true collaboration. Jesse hasn't exactly wowed the judges yet, but between the two of them, they could have come up with something safe, at the very least.

Model: Brandise Danesewich

Then again, Ping's clearly not one for playing it safe.

Duchess nailed it when she called it a "Statue of Liberty" dress.

They could have taken that bodice and attached a real skirt to it to make something passable.

Instead, Ping got all Ping-y and went for the "pinned and draped" thing she does. That's fine when you want to express yourself, but this was meant to be a high end look and high end looks should shoot for something more than just "pinned together."

And it was just so weirdly impractical. No one wants to carry their skirt or sling it over their shoulder all night.

Models: Cerri McQuillan/Megan Davis

And they blew any chance they had of recovering good will from the judges with this look.

Here's what we don't get. Jesse should have just said, "Go make your lace toga. I'll get this one." and left her alone. That way he could have focused all his attention on this look to save their asses.

Instead, it looks like he continued to bicker with her and churned this out at the last second without putting any thought into it.

Awful. It's a nothing dress, badly executed.

But wait! What's this?

NO ONE CARE WHAT MODELS THINK. STOP SPEAKING.

We'd bet a donut that she was put up to it. They're really trying to sell that Models of the Runway show, so now suddenly all the models are going to become backstabbing bitches. We're not sure what to think of that. It could be entertaining, but it's really not the role of the model. The judges shouldn't care what they think or even ask them about it.

Anyway, it's so long, Ping. We of course knew it was coming, but we were happy to have her lunacy in the game for a little while.
